About ReputationRadar — our mission, our team
ReputationRadar was built so that small and medium-sized businesses can manage their online reputation on their own terms — without agency budgets, without privacy compromises, without vendor lock-in.
Our Mission and Origin Story
ReputationRadar was founded on something we had seen repeatedly as software engineers and digital marketing consultants: reputation management was a closed market dominated by expensive agencies. Small and medium-sized businesses — dental practices, trades companies, local retailers, B2B service providers — were paying between €1,000 and €10,000 per month for fragmented services that amounted to manual research, spreadsheets, and occasional consultant reports. For most of these businesses, that was simply not sustainable.
At the same time, online reputation was becoming increasingly decisive. A single unanswered negative review on Google can deter new customers for months. An uncommented critical write-up on an industry portal stays visible for years. Most businesses had neither the time nor the tools to maintain a consistent presence across all these platforms. Our founding team — software engineers paired with experienced digital marketing practitioners — recognised a structural market gap: the technology needed already existed. It simply had not been made accessible.
In 2023 we started building ReputationRadar with a clear objective: to make enterprise-grade reputation management accessible to every business, regardless of size or budget. We spent months understanding the real pain points of business owners — not through market research surveys, but through direct conversations with clients from years of consulting work. What keeps them up at night? Missing a critical review. Being unable to respond quickly and professionally to negative feedback. Having no clear picture of what customers actually think. And spending hours on manual monitoring across dozens of platforms.
What came out of that work is ReputationRadar: an AI-powered platform that automates the most time-consuming and critical aspects of reputation management. We combined state-of-the-art AI with an intuitive interface that lets businesses monitor their online reputation across 15+ platforms, understand customer sentiment, and respond strategically — without needing a dedicated team or a five-figure monthly budget.
Today thousands of businesses across Germany and Europe use ReputationRadar. Some have recovered from reputation crises that initially appeared irreversible. Others have grown revenue by acting on the customer insights our AI surfaces from review patterns. Above all, they have reclaimed time — time they can now invest in their core business rather than manually scanning review portals every morning. Our features page gives a full picture of what the platform does. If you want to understand the broader discipline, our guide to online reputation management is a good starting point.
Our mission remains unchanged: to democratise reputation management by combining the power of artificial intelligence with genuine industry expertise — making it impossible for any business to be caught off-guard by its online reputation.
Our Product Philosophy
Four principles have guided every design decision in ReputationRadar since day one — and none of them have been compromised.
Automation first
Your team should spend time on strategy and customer relationships, not on routine monitoring. ReputationRadar automatically watches reviews across all relevant platforms, detects sentiment changes in real time, flags urgent issues, and drafts response suggestions on request. That means sophisticated reputation management without hiring dedicated staff or investing hours each day in manual research.
AI without vendor lock-in
ReputationRadar is not tied to a single AI provider. The platform integrates models from OpenAI (GPT series), Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini), selecting the optimal model for each task. This multi-provider architecture protects you from sudden price increases or quality deterioration from any single vendor, and ensures you always have access to the most capable technology available.
GDPR by design
Privacy is not an afterthought or a compliance checkbox at ReputationRadar — it is an architectural principle. All data is stored and processed on EU infrastructure (Hetzner, Falkenstein DE and Helsinki FI). End-to-end encryption, granular access controls, and an optional self-hosted Docker deployment ensure your data stays exclusively under your control. For privacy-sensitive industries such as healthcare, legal, or financial services, this is not a bonus feature — it is a baseline requirement.
Transparent pricing
No hidden fees. No forced sales calls. No artificial feature restrictions revealed only after you sign up. Our pricing page lists every plan openly and completely. The free plan is permanently free — a genuine entry point, not bait for an immediate upgrade. Customers who grow pay proportionally more; those who scale back can downgrade at any time.
Our Technology — explained without jargon
ReputationRadar is built on modern cloud architecture designed for scale, reliability, and security. Here is what that means in practice for your daily workflow.
Real-time monitoring across 15+ platforms
Our monitoring system processes hundreds of thousands of reviews, mentions, and social signals every day. When a customer mentions your business on Google, Yelp, Trustpilot, or a sector-specific directory, ReputationRadar detects it within minutes — not hours or days. Critical events, such as a sudden spike in negative reviews, trigger immediate alerts so you can respond before a situation escalates into a crisis. See the full list of supported platforms on our features page.
AI from multiple providers — always the best model for the job
Rather than committing entirely to a single AI vendor, ReputationRadar connects models from OpenAI, Anthropic, and Google Gemini. For sentiment analysis we use whichever model performs best on that task in independent benchmarks. For generating response drafts in natural, brand-consistent language we use the strongest available writing model. This is not a marketing promise — it is a technical necessity. No single model leads in every category. Our multi-provider architecture also means that if one provider experiences an outage or changes its pricing significantly, we can route around the disruption without any interruption to your service.
Self-hosted Docker for complete data sovereignty
Businesses with strict data residency requirements — medical practices, law firms, financial service providers — can run ReputationRadar entirely on their own infrastructure. The Docker deployment option is available from the Professional plan onwards and includes the complete platform with AI integration. You connect your own AI models or proxy services, retain full data sovereignty, and have no dependency on our cloud availability. Further technical details are available in our feature overview.
Built and hosted in Germany
ReputationRadar runs on Hetzner infrastructure in Falkenstein, Germany and Helsinki, Finland. Both data centres are within the EU and subject to GDPR. We chose Hetzner because of their strong privacy track record, competitive reliability, and the fact that their infrastructure is operated by a German company under German and EU law. For businesses that are asked by customers or auditors where their data is stored, the answer is simple: in the EU, on infrastructure operated under EU law.

Our Team
We are a small distributed team across Germany and Europe. Our founders come from software engineering and digital marketing backgrounds — and built ReputationRadar after years of watching SMB clients pay between €1,000 and €10,000 per month for fragmented agency services that could be solved better and at far lower cost with modern technology. That hands-on consulting experience is reflected in every feature you will find in the platform.
Research & Development
Our engineers work continuously on improving sentiment analysis, response generation, and anomaly detection. Accuracy and efficiency are the benchmarks — not the number of features listed on a marketing slide. Every model update is validated against real-world review data before release.
Product & Design
Our product team speaks the language of business owners and marketing managers. Every design decision is tested with real customers. Complex AI-powered features are supposed to feel intuitive — not like an engineer's dashboard that requires a manual to navigate.
Customer Success & Support
We have built a support organisation that treats customer success as a core value, not a department. Questions get answered quickly, problems get solved, and customer feedback feeds directly into product development. Our goal is that you never feel left alone with the platform.
Infrastructure & Security
Our infrastructure team manages EU server operations, security architecture, and the 99.9% uptime commitment. Data protection is treated here as a technical discipline — not a compliance checklist that gets reviewed annually and then filed away.

Open positions coming soonOur Values
These six principles guide every decision we make — from architecture choices to pricing structure.
Transparency
Open pricing with no hidden fees. Clear documentation of what our AI models do and where their limits lie. No promises we cannot keep. No dark patterns designed to prevent cancellation or obscure the true cost of the service.
Privacy
Your customer data is yours — not ours to exploit or monetise. GDPR-compliant by design, end-to-end encryption, minimal data retention, and complete control over your information. EU infrastructure is an architectural commitment, not a marketing claim.
Accessibility
Enterprise tools should not require enterprise budgets. We are building affordable, user-friendly reputation management for businesses of all sizes — from the solo founder to the mid-market company with 200 locations.
Reliability
Your reputation is business-critical — and so is the platform that monitors it. Multiple redundancies, automatic failover, and a 99.9% uptime SLA are not optional extras. They are baseline requirements for a tool that needs to be running when a crisis hits.
Customer data control
You can export or delete your data in full at any time. No artificial lock-in through data silos. We earn your continued business through performance — not through mechanisms that make it difficult to leave.
Customer success
Our success is measured by your business outcomes — not by activation rates or monthly subscription counts. Excellent support, thorough onboarding, and proactive alerts when unusual review patterns emerge are part of the platform, not upgrades.

Frequently Asked Questions
Where is ReputationRadar based and where is data stored?
ReputationRadar was founded in Germany and runs its cloud infrastructure on Hetzner servers in Falkenstein, Germany and Helsinki, Finland — entirely within the European Union. Your data never leaves EU jurisdiction. For businesses with stricter requirements, a self-hosted deployment option is available from the Professional plan.
Which AI models does ReputationRadar use?
ReputationRadar uses a multi-provider AI architecture integrating models from OpenAI (GPT series), Anthropic (Claude), and Google (Gemini). This prevents single-vendor dependency and lets the platform select the most capable model for each specific task — whether sentiment analysis, crisis detection, or response drafting.
Is there a self-hosted option for privacy-conscious businesses?
Yes. From the Professional plan onwards, ReputationRadar offers a complete Docker deployment option. You run the entire platform on your own infrastructure, integrate your own AI models or proxy services, and retain full data sovereignty without any dependency on our cloud infrastructure.
How does ReputationRadar differ from a reputation management agency?
Agencies typically charge between €1,000 and €10,000 per month for manual work that ReputationRadar automates. The platform continuously monitors 15+ platforms, generates AI-powered response drafts, and delivers sentiment analytics — at a fraction of agency costs, around the clock, without dependence on external consultants. See our guide to online reputation management for a full comparison.
Is the free plan genuinely free forever?
Yes. The free plan has no expiry date, no forced sales calls, and no hidden restrictions that only become visible after sign-up. All plans and their limits are listed openly on the pricing page. The free tier is designed to deliver genuine value to small businesses and freelancers, not as a temporary trial to pressure an upgrade.
